Did this film make you cry?

I am a 25 year old male and I seem to cry at films like this. Where I would have to have a happy ending in it or I would be haunted for life?

What is wrong with me? Or are others the same?

The bit where Paul Dano's character writes 'Go hug Mom' on his notepad to Olive.

Yeah definitely. I did't actually cry but it was sweet.

What? No! Maybe if it made me care about the characters.

I cry for joy every time I see it!!!!

Yep. I cried. Especially the scene were Paul Dano's character flips out! Wow, he's a great actor

Brittany Murphy, Heath Ledger, & Brad Renfro. We love you.

reply

No, not really, but it made me laugh more than once and made me think about a number of things that are wrong in this society, a materialistic and shallow society that chooses social "success" over happiness.
Luckyly Olive's family understood it and was able to change before it's too late.

"Go hug Mom"

You think you're hot *beep* but you're really just cold diarrhea.

I'm a 33 male and I cried during Steve Carell's speech on the beach towards the end; very heartfelt, very true. I think it's his best overall scene thus far along with the anchorman scene in Bruce Almighty.

I teared up when Dwayne found out he was colorblind.

Nothing wrong with you - you just seem to have been in a moody state, and that film affected you somehow. Also, that is probably the reason, why you chose to watch this movie in the first place (kind of unconsciously knowing that this movie will affect you) - let me guess: you watched this movie all alone?

by the way: I'm a 25 year old male too, and I sometimes cry to a movie too (but only when I'm very moody and watching it alone).

But I didn't even nearly cry, watching this film. It simply affected me in no way. I think the last film I cried to was "The Cake Eaters", when I felt bad for Kristen Stewards character.

I haven't seen a whole lot of movies, but the colorblind scene got me closer to crying than any other movie.

But no, I didn't cry.
