Did this film make you cry?
I am a 25 year old male and I seem to cry at films like this. Where I would have to have a happy ending in it or I would be haunted for life?
What is wrong with me? Or are others the same?

I just saw it and I cried BUCKETS. Loved it though, some incredible acting. Steve Carell, Abigail Breslin... and oh my god, Paul Dano. I think I understand what all the fuss is about.
shareI cried so hard I soaked my shirt....but not out of sadness. It just really touched me
The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return
Surprisingly (because it's not rarely that I find myself crying when watching a movie) I've never cried watching this...
However, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is my absolute favorite movie post-ROTK. I LOVE these people because, in spite of it all, in the end it turns out they actually ARE a family (albeit a whacky one) and do care for each other quite a lot, and that's such a wonderful message! Add to that the fact that the movie is huge fun and incredibly funny and you get a wonderful classic that I'll heartily recommend to everyone I get a chance to for the rest of my life.

It's a touching movie, but I cry because I'm laughing so hard at the final scene when Olive dances.
shareIt made me angry for wasting those moments in my life on such a horrible film. I came here to see the rating and I'm appalled that it's 8.0. It should be no more than a 2 rating.

I never cry, but there are moments that sometimes bring a tear to my eye:
- Grandpa telling Richard he's proud of him
- Grandpa/Olive scene in the hotel
- Dwayne and Olive in the desert
