My thoughts (spoilers)

My thoughts:

1) the CGI was lacking at some points, such as the time-travel place where he goes to do a time-jump; that place looks like something out of a PlayStation 2 game

2). i didn’t like the reliance on random nostalgia (Reeves & Clooney), and Nic Cage’s cameo was just weird

3). The movie is “The Flash,” but The Flash got overshadowed by Batman and Supergirl (especially the former). I left this movie wanting to see more of Michael Keaton’s Batman instead of Flash

4). Relating to #3, Keaton’s Batman was the best part of the movie. He was awesome

5). Supergirl is pretty, but too small. I know her character is an alien with superpowers, so she doesn’t rely on muscles. But aesthetically, they should have cast a more athletic girl ala Wonderwoman to make those fight scenes less awkward

6). They needed a better-looking girl for the reporter that Flash asks out for dinner

7). most of the time, I don’t like time travel in movies; you have to be careful with time travel. And here, I don’t think they were careful. What happens here is that Flash goes back in time, gets trapped in a universe, sees that world ruined, and then in the end, he goes back to where he started, eliminating everything he just did in the whole movie. Hence, you just feel that you got ripped off for watching. As I said you have to be careful with time travel

8). Who or what kept Supergirl captive? What were their intentions? How did they do it? Why did they keep her alive?

9). The Barry Allen in the alternate world (the one who does) was really annoying. I know they wanted comedy relief, but it was too much. And at the end, seeing two Flashes fight Zod and others kind of diminished Flash as a superpower, making him seem less special and powerful (could you imagine anyone stopping 2 Supermen, Batmen, Spidermen, or WonderMen?). The Barry Allen whom he meets in the alternate world should have just died early or something, leaving the original by himself

When the battle started I was thinking “let’s see how the Batplane does against the Kryptonian technology”. But that really was a hopeless battle. Every member of Zod’s army basically has the powers of Superman. A brute force attack had no chance. They needed to come up with a more covert plan to defeat Zod.

The Batwing was never going to take down one Kryptonian, let alone an army! 😂

1) yes, i did read the director wanted it like that for some reason.

2) that was one of the main reasons for the movie! and seeing Cage Superman in the climax of 'Superman Lives' had it come out summer 1998 was a real thrill to a long time DC movie fan. however the CGI was unneccesary (presumably to deage him to 1998 when Superman Lives wouldve been out, but why not just have had Cage as he is now with no CGI/deage. he no look that different to how he did in the late 90s)

3/4) of course. he was the whole reason to see the movie!

5) i had no problem with her size. as you say she gets her powers from the sun and she was supposed to look weak/feeble to begin with. and we got to see the traditional blonde Supergirl in a cameo anyway

6) no comment

7) yes by the end the movie is 'wiped' so to speak. the Keaton Batman of the DCEU and the crazy alt timeline ceases to be, but then thats timetravel.. often what you spent the past hour ot two watching gets reset/wiped out with only the main character remembering the erased timeline. and some of them are absolute classics (BTTF, XMen Days of Future Past, Star Trek Yesterdays Enterprise, Edge of Tomorrow etc)

8) there was a green tinge/glow to the prison so obviously kryptonite. she was kept there by the Russians to study and potentially use as a weapon

9) well thats just Ezra Miller. Synder did quite well casting the DCEU overall (Cavill, Gadot, Momoa) but slipped up abit with Miller (due to his troubles) and maybe Affleck. that said Miller did well in the dual role. never once did i not think there were two differnt guys. and regarding Flash vs Zod . the main point/thrill of the film was to see Barry and Batman and weakened Supergirl form a loose 'Justice League' and try to take on Zod - especially seeing Keatons Batman in 2013s 'Man of Steel' going up against Zod - just nerd insanity!.. be like idk.. Bales Batman showing up in Superman II and taking on Terence Stamp Zod! (CGI/deaged of course)

Ezra Miller cant do comedy. That why he looks so cringe when "goofing". It was very obvious in the first movie he showed up. Why they kept doing it and writing for him unfunny jokes that never land is beyond me. He was actually quite good in drama moments.

Younger Barry was unbearable and not realistic. You look at this adult, only 10 years older Barry who is so smart, calm and responsible. And then you look at that complete idiot and its hard to believe it the same person. Being teenager is not an excuse. He was just stupid.

I’m surprised that people say: "Nic Cage’s cameo". It wasnt. It was basically CGI AI carton of him. Not for a second it looked like real actor was standing somewhere with dots in his face.

I thought that. He didn't look like a real person at all. Although, apparently he was there on set.
