When the Doctor said "He fancied me"
It seemed he was randomly alluding to a same sex relationship.
Season 10 is just depressing. I can't believe what has happened to what used to be the best show I've ever seen.

A character fancying the Doctor doesn't mean the Doctor was in a relationship with that character.
shareThat line is open to interpretation but The Doctor looked like he was about to cry when he said it like The Doctor was in love or something. I'm pretty surprised this isn't getting talked about.
shareSeems like you're the only person who interpreted it that way and that's why it isn't being discussed.
shareHere DigitalSpy mentions it as a sexy encounter they'd love to know more about, so no I'm not the only one interpreting it that way. Number 9 on their list.

"I met an Emperor made of algae once. He fancied me."
That in no way implies The Doctor returned the feelings.

I warned people to boycott Season 10 before their memories of the Twelfth Doctor were forever tainted by the awful direction the show was going. Sadly, few listened and avoided the show before the damage was done.
I'm glad MY final Capaldi episode was "The Return of Doctor Mysterio", so his era went out on a high note for me.
This is actually happening to me. I'm like, Jeeze, maybe all the Capaldi stuff sucks. It's pissing in the soup.
shareIt didn't seem like anything.
He was stating that someone else was once attracted to him.
You shouldn't let the way that things in a sci-fi/fantasy drama seem a certain way to you, in spite of what is actually being stated, make you so depressed.
