The movie doesn’t say, so it’s speculative.

The movie tried to draw parallels between V and the gay dude who had Muslim books in his house (eggy-in-the-basket, challenging the system, taking Evey in etc). So that symbolism could support a mild supposition that V might be gay too. There’s also the letter he had from the lesbian prisoner at Larkhill. His keeping the letter after so long hints that lesbianism / gay might be important to him.

But on the other hand, the above details are speculative, and there is a small chance he liked Evey sexually. So ...

Gays and lesbian will get along but won't really have each others back. I think he had a skin condition that made him immune to the drugs given. He was already blind so the fire didn't make him blind and could already move around without sight.He was not gay and a nice guy that didn't let his condition before being locked up do anything to him.
