Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy

Does anyone want to review a script I wrote titled "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy"?

Here's the plot...
"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy"
Length: 120 Pages
Tagline: Fear has a chain reaction…
Plot: The year is 1971. The Vietnam War is starting to slowly come to a close. But on the homeland, strange things are happening, and people are disappearing around the areas of Travis County, Texas. There, six buddies going on one last camping trip for the sake of old memories are lured into Sheriff Hoyt and Thomas Hewitt’s clutches. A terrifying fight for survival ensues that eventually leads to one of the most shocking, depraved, and chilling endings in cinematic history. Can you handle the legacy of fear?
The Skinny: There is some violence (but its not overdone) and all the Hewitt family members are in it (including Henrietta and Jedadiah, where it explains their origins) and there is also a new family member named Edwin (in respect to Edwin Niel, who played the Hitchhiker brother in the original). Also, don't think you know the ending just because its a prequel...

So far over 300 IMDb users have asked to read the script and have had it sent to them!

**If you Private Messaged me with your e-mail I have sent you a confirmation message that the script has been sent. If you posted your e-mail on the message board your user name is listed shortly after your post under one of my posts, along with the other people who were sent the script at that time. Because there were so many users, the list of users on this post had to be taken away. If you asked for the script and it was never delivered for some reason please feel free to ask again. New readers, of course, are encouraged to read.**

I've not visited this board in a long time. I printed this script out and read it on a road trip in June.
I liked it as much as I like any of the TCM movies. The only thing I did not like was the use of lines that were already spoken in the remake and in The Beginning. As I was reading it, I felt that you had just watched both movies one after the other and then sat down to write yours. "Your so dead you don't even know it" and other Sheriff Hoyt lines were completely ripped from the others, word for word. I don't care for that. I could point out more if it hadn't been so long since I read it but I do remember that I caught this alot. Each time I did, I'd read aloud to my husband and he would agree that he recognized the line and he's not even a fan! I've just forced him to watch these movies with me about a thousand and one times!
Other than that...I enjoyed it.

Being dead wasn't a problem, but being forgotten, now that's a BITCH.

Badonkadonkhr,
Could you send me your e-mail again, either on here or by a private message. When I sent the script to e-mail you gave it was declined. Also, check to see if you can accept e-mails from Yahoo! accounts, because when the e-mail was declined it said that the address you gave could not recieve e-mails of the kind that the script is attached to.

Thanks!

Kudos to you for actually writing a script that people seem to like. Just a suggestion -- why not try to remove the elements that make it a TCM movie? Realistically, the odds of selling a spec script for an existing property are extremely slim, especially if you aren't an established writer. And even if you were, there's only one studio that could even buy the thing -- the one that owns the licensing rights for the TCM franchise.

Try taking what you have and turning it into an ORIGINAL work with your own "villains, monsters, etc." You may have something there, and studios are always look for new ideas.

Good luck.
