Most Disturbing Films
What are the most disturbing films you've seen?
shareIt's hard to say now. I've seen more since the last time, and not much has had a really long lasting effect. When I said I didn't finish CH, that was when I was 12 and my younger cousins were around me while I was watching. I turned it off and forgot about it until I was 17.
I wish I could say I found something that really shook me for a long period of time, but not really. If anything, what does hit me now are memories of An American Crime and that's about it. Megan is Missing...I don't care for it, but it had a "burnt behind my eyes" thing very briefly which went away.
Hopefully I'll find something that has a huge effect on me; since big names like Guinea Pig, A Serbian Film, Salo, Traces of Death and Cannibal Holocaust didn't make me bat an eye.

Old thread, i know, just want to chip in anyway.
To me, I Saw The Devil was the most sickening bloodbath i have ever watched, and i normally consider myself well wandered and "okay" with Korean action-gore. But that story got under my skin.
Apart from that, this thread has some nice lists, got most of them but four are on my shopping list at least. Thank you!
This is a pretty comprehensive list but its missing some really new movies like Neon Demon, which I found disturbing and deserving of a place on the list: http://www.borrowingtape.com/top-200-most-disturbing-movies
