Olivia Dehavilland watches children killed by bees in The Swarm.
An earlier bee movie, tho on tv, was Killer Bees (a sequel was Savage Bees, with Dan Haggerty) had a little girl chased down that I did not remember at the beginning of the movie and was stung to death as well.
Little boy is thrown in the pool and eaten in Alligator.
Check out The Changeling with George C. Scott. His wife and daughter are run over at the beginning and the kid's drowning in the bathtub was also very intense for me when I first watched that movie.
Heck, the wife and kid killed in the first Mad Max movie.
But we're looking for the older, (definitely) annoying ones, but not the teens of slasher flicks, yes?

Well, I like the movie a lot. Thought is was suspenseful, frustrating and sad, which is what the maker intended. So I'd say at least for me, the movie did its job.
