Cameron??? How about a woman who can actually act!?

You have Colin Firth the Magnificent...you have Alan Rickman the Superb...and then you have Cameron Diaz!?!!!! You need a female with some acting chops to make it alongside these two guys. And face it - that is just NOT Ms. Diaz.

Alison Elliott, Gillian Anderson, Kate Winslett, Julianne Moore....the list goes on and on of better, no , MUCH better actresses out there. I loved this movie back when Michael Caine, Shirley MacLaine and Herbert Lom did it. And I was really looking forward to the remake with Firth as Caine's character. But, please, please find someone else to be Ms. MacLaine's lovable amateur. No, I don't think Renee would be a good choice - critics would say it's Bridget Jones all over again, which it isn't.

No connection to X-Men...

Just thieves and romance thrown in.

This stuff is pretty amusing, considering that at the time the original GAMBIT was made, many still didn't respect Shirley MacLaine that much as an actor.

Not only is Diaz a *beep* actor but she's also ugly. Shirley Maclaine was both tremendously talented and beautiful.

I would watch the film if it wasnt for her being in it. I never saw a film with her in it i would like to watch again. So i give this a miss. And i agree with gaiderdraco. Nuff said.

I agree I can't understand why folk rave about her. She reminds me of a human caricature of Kermit.

I do admire her though for not giving into the US extremely vain society and not having 2 bags of saline solution planted in her chest.

Oh and the film yup even without her it would still suck monkey balls, the childish humor was aimed towards yup children and those who are mentally challenged.

I agree. She's just horrible and has the worst fake Texas accent I've heard.

Saw the film it was pretty bad and she was God awful. I can't believe you have Firth Rickman and Tucci in this film and it was still horrible.

If they wanted funny they should have gone with Tina Fey or Sandra Bullock.

Cameron Diaz was a horrible choice. I thought she was good in that drama about her daughter dying...she should stick with dramas.
