Did this movie make you cry?

I'm not one to really cry while watching a film but it happens every once and awhile. I wrote up this discussion of the handful of films that have done it to me in my life. I remember watching the made for tv version of this as a child and it hit me pretty hard. I wondering if the updated version could still get e today as an adult?

I read the book when I was in elementary school.
I cried for a week.

The movie, which I just watched for the first time today after dozen years, made me cry for its entire final 30 minutes or so.

I thought I was ready to take it, shrug it off, but I failed.
It is a powerful story, and an effective film.
The performances were great and it was well-filmed.

I cried way too much, I was a little surprised at how sad it was. I didn't know anything amount the movie before watching it

I cried my eyes out for about 45 minutes. I bawled so loudly I was afraid the neighbors might hear.

I thought they were building it up to be a typical story where his parents get mad at him and there's some domestic abuse or they say he can't see her anymore or something and that would be the dramatic climax. I absolutely wasn't expecting her to die.

Pride is not the opposite of shame, but its source. True humility is the antidote to shame.

I have seen this movie before and I knew exactly what was going to happen. I still bawled me eyes out at the ending. The innocence of it all is really what got me. The imagination of a child. It's so beautiful!!

I cried too, despite having seen it twice

Oh my god! Teared up so badly! 😭
Josh played the part amazingly. His reaction to Leslies death was too much for me.

I watched this film on the off chance I might enjoy it as I love all the fantasy films like Spiderwick Chronicles, LOTR etc. But this was so much more.

Great film. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
