Why cant foreigners make Films in English ?

After recently seeing this movie I would like to say that it had some good scenes and the actor who played hitler was great but what offended me to no ends is what was the language(I know it was germany related)but why not in the american language-English?

This fact bothered me so much that I gave it a 2/10,as I said...the only redemption was hitler.
The action scenes were poor or hardly present(compare it to saving private ryan's action!!!)
Dont you think that making it in english would have benefited the producers and the film itself what with a wider release and better Box office?
I do not think there are any americans on this board because no one must have heard of it(european film for europeans) but making this in english would have proved beneficial to the film

Why the F... should they? The film takes place in Germany, everybody in the film is German. Except for the Soviet soldiers - and they speak oddly enough Russian. Most of the extras simply are Russian since all the outdoor scenes - except the opening scene (at the Wolfschanze in Eas Prussia - are shot (no joke intended!) in St. Petersburg, Russia.

This is not the 1960's where all you had to do, if you played a Nazi Officer, was to scowl, screw your monocle another half-round into your eye and hiss Zzhoot zeeze baztarrrts - watch The Great Escape or The Guns of Navarone for the probably best known examples!

Apart from that: it might have dawned to you that more than 100 million people speaks German as their native language and about 80 million speaks German as primary foreign language. So why should the producers consider a production in English language?

You'll have to learn to read and read the subtitles.

Just look at your Top 10 list. It doesn't look like quality movies with a lot of meaningful dialogue are really your cup of tea. Plus, you probably didn't want to do all that reading.

Stick to your action movies kid.

Why can't English-speaking countries make films in other languages? That question would make as little sense.

Ronager, for someone who only posts every 3 months or so, you really should try harder.
