Why cant foreigners make Films in English ?

After recently seeing this movie I would like to say that it had some good scenes and the actor who played hitler was great but what offended me to no ends is what was the language(I know it was germany related)but why not in the american language-English?

This fact bothered me so much that I gave it a 2/10,as I said...the only redemption was hitler.
The action scenes were poor or hardly present(compare it to saving private ryan's action!!!)
Dont you think that making it in english would have benefited the producers and the film itself what with a wider release and better Box office?
I do not think there are any americans on this board because no one must have heard of it(european film for europeans) but making this in english would have proved beneficial to the film

I realize you are most likely trying to troll, so I'm not going to bother tearing you a new *beep* But there is that small part of me that fears you are actually dead serious.

So I will say this - Hollywood is notorious for "dumbing down" films to appeal to the largely ignorant and lazy audiences across America, and as a result the film almost always suffers.

I just watched the film "Valkyrie" with Tom Cruise recently, about the Operation Valkyrie plot to assassinate Hitler, and this was actually quite a good movie. This was almost an exception to the above, except for the fact they chose to have all the "Germans" speaking plain English in American or British accents. I still enjoyed the film, but it just doesn't have the same authenticity as a historical movie that makes an effort to be accurate, and is filmed in it's own language.

Reading subtitles and watching a movie at the same time really shouldn't be difficult, but sadly the current generation of Americans are learning English through the internet and text messages rather than through the old fashioned practice of reading books and handwriting without a machine spell-checking them. It truly worries me sometimes how many kids nowadays can't read and write for *beep* and refuse to even give foreign films a shot due to how mentally exhausting they find the subtitles.

*sigh* Well just had to get that out of my system. Downfall was a fantastic movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it just the way it was.
