Did anyone watch this film based ON the circulation of all the Downfall parodies, or had you watched it already? Would the YouTube parodies make you more or less inclined to watch it?

Saw the movie first, love the parodies.
shareI must admit I'm waaaay late to the game when it comes to these parodies. I saw the movie when it first came out (in North America at least) and have found it to be one of the most stunning films of the 21st century -- perhaps of all time.
With that said, I find the parodies hilarious! Comedy is often very much about timing and these vids are spot on. Cheers to the creators! (And cheers to Bruno Ganz and company for treating us to yet another staggering performance of German cinema via Der Untergang.)

No, I watched the movie first. Glad I did. But I'm addicted to the parodies. I've spent hours (really) watching Bruno Ganz's great performance with added meaning. I've also enjoyed some of his other movies, especially the great Bread & Tulips. I hope to eventually watch all of his work. Nosferatu will be next!
