I thought that when I saw the movie too. If you took out them reffering to eachother as family, they totally act like bf/gf. I know that's not how it was supposed to seem, but it just came out wrong.

terri and paul are really close - thats why when he died she kept breaking down and crying - its not unusual to be close to your brothers and sisters.

i watched it today and i thought it was the sweetest thing. i LOVE older brothers who treat their younger sisters with such love like that. i almost always cry when i see movies with brother sister relationships like that. i dont think there was anything wrong with them being close whatsoever.

Hi i am Justin and i agree with thse pepole what there saying here, I mean does any of you wach "The GodFather" Look how Don Veto tought his family respect. Back in those days pepole used to "Respect" there family. I know Don Veito was a crime lord faily man. But still his hart showed how to respect pepole. Terri and Paul were like good friends. When you have a friend you love and care about so much that is your brother or sister. I know your friends are from diffrent familes. But like me and my friend Seth were like Brother's Think about it. It was not like they would let Hilary and John Ritter's son kiss on the lips or do anything.

my friend and his sister are extremely close.

i don't see how it's an impossible concept to comprehend. . . maybe you're just retarded. haha, i was joking btw.

i don't even know you. but yeah.

my friend is super close with his sister. and oddly, it's a lot like this movie. their dad is a complete *beep*

like. . . he's really selfish. i mean the dad on Raise your Voice was just protecting them, but my friend's dad. . . well . . to put it nicely is a selfish *beep*

and he says that about his dad all the time.

i can totally see terry and paul being brother/sister and not as a couple with how close the characters were.

I definitly don't think they were to close. I have a twin brother and our relationship is just the same as terri's and her brothers. Sure we have our moments but over all we get on really well!!! My bro is one of my best friends. So yea, siblings can be that close somtimes.

They're are a little too close I agree, my little brother first brought this my attention although it seems like a one-sided thing, the brother seems obsessed with her and although she cares about him she's not a bad. But yeah I'm guessing the actors were trying really hard to portray there brotherly/sisterly love for one another and just went a little over the top.

It was soooo obvious that they were sleeping together. just think about what the "climbing through the window"-scene REALLY meant.. Come on guys, read between the lines. And that's why she at first was so reluctant towards Jay on the roof scene... any other girl would have sex with him., but she wouldn't even kiss him..

to me it didn't seem like an obsession, i saw it as him trying to make sure she got out of flagstaff and into the music program, that it was showing that they were close & he was trying to look out for her, thus the dvd.

i agree with lalllall, sure thing that they were doing it. That's why terri's dad was so overprotective towards her, and had a negative standpoint against what paul felt about her going to music school.

I've actually done some research in the matter, and it seems that "terri fletcher" was a fake name that writer Virginia .C. Andrews had, whose novels often had themes surrounding forbidden love and deep seeded family secrets,such as "Flowers in the Attic".

Um, yes it's normal to be close to your siblings, but it's not normal to have that sort of chemistry. Did you see the way they looked at each other? I didn't even know they were siblings until they mentioned it! I didn't start watching it until 15 mintus into the movie...

Not really, my older brother and I are really close. I'd consider him a best friend, besides Sarah and Cory of course. I come from a family of 11 kids, you don't really have a choice but to be close.

I have a bigger sister (2 years older than me ) and we are like best friends. I dont think that Terri and Paul ahd a "too close" relationship, thats how brothers and sister should be to eachother, not fight all day long :S

i have an older brother and we are really good friends, he drives me everywhere, we like the same music so we go to shows together, we do everything together BUT i have to agree with the original poster, they were way to touchy feely and the whole filming her in the bathroom it was a little creepy.

i dont think they acted too close, but it was a little unrealistic though. i know siblings do get along but come on... a little over the top. they never showed them fighting once, as if any brother or sister would get along that well? it was a little extreme.
