Sergei Fedorov, Steve Yzerman, Niklas Lidstrom, Pavel Datsyuk, Kris Draper.

I was a big fan of the Wings, especially the 2002 team.

Outside of them I loved watching a 2002 Bertuzzi, Forsberg in his prime and a full stride Pavel Bure.

Bauer vs. Bourne, that is the question.

Being a Pens fan, I am partial to the team that I support. Lemieux is my all-time sports idol ahead of the great Ron Francis and Kevin Stevens. Big fan of many current Pens, specifically Crosby, Dupuis, Letang, Neal, Malkin, and former Penguin Jordan Staal, as well.

As for players from other teams:

Current:
Stamkos, Brodeur, Selanne, Partick Kane, Shea Weber, Parise, Kovalchuk, Perry, Couture, Iginla (currently a Penguin but have admired his work since leading Flames to SCF), A.Pietrangelo, Vanek, St. Louis, and P. Bergeron.

Current players I think are good but do not care for personally:
Giroux, Ovechkin, Chara, Subban, Jagr, Zetterberg, E. Staal,LeCavalier, and H. Lundqvist.

Retired:

YZERMAN, Leetch, Bossy, Housley, MacInnis, Van Biesbrouck, Modano, Lidstrom, Sundin, and Sakic

Well I am a Leafs fan :p but my all-time faves are Pat LaFontaine (Sabres), he was super classy, high levels of skill and perserverence; Scott Stevens, hit like a MACK truck and would be outlawed in today's weak-kneed NHL; Wendel Clark, played each game like it was a scrap to the death; Doug Gilmour (All heart), Nazem Kadri (talent with an adge) and Alexander Ovechkin (tons of talent, physicality on top of it).

Patrick Sharp, Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane. It's a tie between the three.

anybody wearing a Blackhawks uniform...but my favorite is Charlie Gardiner, with Bobby Orr as a close second. Orr was the best player ever, period.
Gardiner was the only goalie ever to serve as Captain of a Stanley Cup-winning team. He led the Hawks to the 1934 Cup with a tonsillary infection, and was so weak that he nearly collapsed several times during the playoffs. This was before antibiotics. The Hawks were the most offensively anemic team in the playoffs, but Charlie stood on his head in goal. One of the defensemen on the team made a bet that if they won the Cup that year, he'd carry Charlie all over downtown Chicago in a wheelbarrow. He made good on that bet. Two months later, Charlie died from a brain hemorrhage resulting from the infection. He was 29, leaving behind a wife and young son.
Charlie was always positive, always treating people with respect and good humor, and he lifted the play of his teammates. In 1931, when the Hawks lost the Cup Final to Montreal, he had been so good in goal that at the final buzzer, the Canadiens picked him up and carried him around on the ice on their shoulders, then down to their clubhouse and gave him champagne.
