im a HUGE crosby fan also lemieux was one of the greatest ever. he did all that and wasnt even healthy. my dad wanted to name me after ulf samuelson so he must be pretty awesome too.
Well I'm a big Devils fan, but I'm only a fan because of Marty Brodeur. To be consistantly that good for as long as he has been and to play 70+ games per year is one of the most impressive stats ever for a goalie - plus hes done it with one team. And now he's having one of his most impressive seasons ever without the two Scotts in front of him. You might not like him, but no one can deny that he is one of the greatest ever, and when he's done he might be THE best. Otherwise I like Sergei Brylin (only other current Devil to be on all 3 cup teams). Also Marty Turco, Scott Niedermayer, Mike Madano, Teemu Salenne, Paul Kariya, Scott Gomez, Patrick Roy, Joe Sakic, and Doug Gilmore. I also happen to like both Crosby and Ovechkin. Crosby has to take a lot of crap from every team he plays and I think he looks just as tough as the average player. Plus, how can you call yourself a hockey fan and say that you don't like the two players who have a chance of bringing the sport back to a national audience? And, like any self respecting Devils fan, I really hate Stephan Mattheua.
Alexander Ovechkin Martin Broduer Dany Heatley Mats Sundin Wayne Gretzky Mark Messier Marian Gaborik Ilya Kolvachuk Joe Sakic Philippe Boucher Pavol Demitra Henrik Zetterberg Pavel Datsyuk
I have to admit, after the playoffs this year Corey Perry won me over, I've been battling my admiration for the kid since 2004, but he played better than I thought he could and withstood the pressure, not to mention the other 2/3rds of his line
but by far my favourite player is Yanic Perreault, not because he's the greatest most skilled player ever, but he was the first player I ever idolized as a kid and it just never faded, he may not be highly skilled on the scoring front but as a true master of the faceoff circle he is a valuable player for any team (not to mention a 2007 All-Star) and overall awesome. There's my bid for Yanic Perreault, laugh if you want but he was signed by Chicago, a team that is totally not going to suck next season...at least not as bad as this season...Jonathan Toews is going to own all rookies next season (if he comes which he most likely will) not to mention Brent Seabrook and Cam Barker now with NHL experience (David Bolland - whom my s/n here is numbered after, Jack Skille, less likely Patrick Kane) and a whole crapload of other awesome prospects. Things can only go up for Chicago!
PS. I'm a Leafs fan, but considering Chicago's stock of prospects unless they have a whole bunch of bad luck and something goes horribly wrong I am totally predicting much improvement from last season :D
