I've been hearing comments that this movie is for "old people". I guess that's because most of the actors are older, but still. Like, I'm 15 and I loved it. Partly because Jeremy Irons is my idol. So how old was everyone when they saw it?

sharei am 23 and loved it. i love Somerset Maugham and all of his books, and this one especially. i think the story fits the screen perfectly and Annete Benning is the best for this role.

shareI'm 24, and I enjoyed it. I don't think age means too much on IMDB though. I'm sure you'll get older users who prefer more 'insubstantial' movies, and vice-versa, as well.
