Could Be One Of The Worst Films Ever Made!

When I came to this section of IMDB, I fully expected this movie to be panned, but I was wrong. Now, not to deny anyone else their opinion, but what the hell? This was one of the worst acted, worst written, worst directed, poorly cast, badly conceived films ever made. I can't fathom how anyone...I mean anyone could like this movie. To be fair, I try to find something to enjoy in even the worst of films, but this movie lowered the IQs of everyone I know who watched it. I want my IQ points back!!!

I've been listening to this movie (on tv) while playing a game and suddenly noticed it somehow seemed interesting... believe me I was SO disappointed when I came to also view the movie.

Oddly enough, I agree. I cringed.

Crikey. When I look at what some of you guys are saying I see myself speaking. . . and then I realize what an ass I am. Thanks for helping me realize this. I will strive to become a better human.

The movie? Not bad. Could be better, but I'm not about to trash talk something I got to watch for free. I'm no actor, but I don't see it being too bad. I've seen people act far more retarded in real life than here. And the sad part about this is that those real people are suppose to be sane. Hah hah. Of course, it isn't my job to (over)analyze. Just to enjoy.

I don't see why the whole "I've seen worse" argument can't be used here because I really have. I liked the movie. It wasn't all that bad and there really is worse so to proclaim it "the worst movie ever" or even "one of the worst movies ever" is fallacious. You guys toss those phrases around far too carelessly that your ability to do so should be revoked. In fact, I'm willing to go so far as to say your ability to judge material should be revoked.

Sometimes I think you guys are just too jaded. Or know-it-all teenagers. But that's okay. It is your opinion, right?

So, yeah. My opinion? Decent movie. The CGI is better than average. The acting is all right. Dare I say tolerable! The story isn't up my alley but I can stand it. If no Oscar winners are playing on TV, it's worth at least a few minutes of your time.

Good movie, I loved the original work, Enki Bilal sure is a great storyteller and Artist. For you who liked the movie I hope you Check the Comics. I like to see movies from other countries for a change, Hollywood is getting out of good stories. I loved the movie and I respect everyone who doesn't. nobody is a fool just because he likes a movie or not....

I watched this the other night on the SciFi Channel. All I could think through the whole thing was "What the hell is going on?" I'm not against the CGI, but I think its way over done in most movies as a means of getting people to watch, but ignore the plot. This may be one of those movies. If this is a French movie, it figures. They probably surrendered half way through it anyway.

I would rather nail my tongue to a tree than watch this again.

There's a TV show called "Jackass" that needs people like you. Perhaps it's named after you?

If you want try understand what really happens try read comics books (Nikopol triology make by Bilal himself). Not's like star wars films, it's more complex, and it's really stupit idea try explain 3 comics-books in one picture....

Sorry, but if you have to do homework before you see a movie, it fails. MOST people will not read the comic book, novel, etc. before they see the movie. Some will afterwards. Too many times the screenwriter, director, or whomever think people will have a background on a movie adapted from something else. Look at David Lynch's version of "Dune". I'm not even certain how many versions there are of this. I saw the first one, then watched it on TV. They had about 15 minutes (seemed like hours)of narration to bring everyone up to speed. And the accompaniying pictures were just animated stills. I haven't seen "DaVinci" yet, but that's been the chief complaint of the critics-- they have to explain to much to those that haven't read the book.

This movie makes "Plan 9 From Outer Space" and "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" look like "Gone with The Wind" or "The Godfather". If you are considering watching this movie, I suggest setting your head on fire then have someone put if out with a rake. It's a whole lot more entertaining.

Could Be One Of The Worst Films Ever Made! ... But it's not. It's not a masterpiece and it's not bad aswell. It's an average SF animated movie. Ultraviolet could be the worst SF movie, and perhaps it would make a lot of money, which I wish it won't accomplish so that this kind of crap won't be encouraged. Immortal could have a better idea, based on what it actually had, but the acting was OK, the acting is the last thing someone could criticize at this movie.

I tend to just think of this movie as "Weird" not good or bad but in that inbetween space called "Weird". THe otherworldly qualities of the animation and character design lend well to that opinon but the story and dialogue heighten that weirdness even more in my opinon. As for worst SF movie, that honor is a toss up as of late. I am conflicted as to which is worse...Ultraviolet or Aeon Flux. The latter I really wanted to like too.

I'm saying this is possibly one of the worst films of ANY kind ever made, not just in the category of sci-fi. i thought the CGI was interesting, probably why I watched it to begin with. but as for a plot or anything, this reminded me of a Hoover vacuum-- it really sucked. But I'll be kind and say it isn't the single worst movie ever made, but it must be one of those in consideration. It would be more fun to have one's head set on fire and then have someone try to put it out with a rake.
