I'm watching it through for the first time now, and I'm currently on season 7. I absolutely cannot STAND Lana. I think Kreuk terribly over acts and is completely a waste of a character. I'm not being critical either, that is literally the ONLY part of the show I have a problem with. I love this show, but Lana just drives me nuts, even more so now that she's divorced Lex and is back with Clark. Thanks for reading. That is all.
She actually does better acting in fantasy stories than in teen soap operas like this. If you watch her in "Snow White" and "Earthsea," the settings there suit her much better, despite her lackluster acting.
It was kind of hard to have her as the main love interest for seven seasons when everyone knows Clark doesn't end up with her, him ending up with Lois is like pop culture common sense, when Clois is such a commonplace in pop culture it just made Clana trying to last for the entire show a bit pointless when everyone knows he ends up with Lois, as I say if the shows goes on for two, three, four or five seasons you may have to change it up especially if it's a prequel type show otherwise audiences are gonna think "Dude we've seen all this".
Agree. I will say I liked Kruek as Lana. She had some good stories early in the show. But after season 4 or which ever the whole witch plot started, I was done with her as the lead love interest. I think it was great to show us Clark with someone other than Lois as a main love interest but I would have liked to have seen Lana gone and someone new in her place because certain stories do get old after a while.
I HATED her getting with Lex. The whole 'lets give Lana Kryptonite super powers', Lana's a witch. It was just too much for me.
The more you think about how many secret rescues from Clark until people like Lana start pointing fingers, in season one a crooked cop and reporter were on to him.
