Narc (dark atmosphere, acting, a cop's life undercover narc is even less glamorous than Training Day shows it, and Dark Blue is good, but just not as plain gritty as Narc, and not as crazy as Training Day.
so:
Narc
Training Day
Dark Blue
1 - NARC
2 - Dark Blue and Training Day
Dark Blue -really watchable cast plus the setting was the best
Narc -it was fine, but I have to be in the right mood
Training Day -the ending ruined it
"He called me a rapist and a recluse. I'm not a recluse." -Mike Tyson
For me all had sorta weak storylines. But it was all about the actors performances.
1. Training Day (Denzel was awesome. He was really scary and funny as hell.He kept me hooked)
2.Dark Blue (It gets better the further it goes.Kurt Russell was just plain cool in the role.)
3.Narc (Liotta is as riveting as always.Great movie.)
1) Dark Blue: it has a good story that deals with real events and it has Kurt Russell as the lead.
2) Training Day: exagerated but fun
3) Narc: poor filmmaking

Narc is at its highest IMO, then Training Day and then Dark Blue, which the latter unfortunately disappointed me as did Denzel's but the first 2 were good nonetheless, and Liotta' performance in Narc was outstanding as with the movie itself
{Arguing on the net is like running in the special olympics: even if you win you're still retarded.
1. Narc
2. Dark Blue
3. Street Kings
4. Training Day
I liked Training Day for Denzel, but it didn't have a great deal of ACTION, the way the other films seemed to have. Of course, this is ONLY MY OPINION, but also, ALL of these films are MUST OWN and I will be buying "Street Kings" when it hits on DVD!
Training Day description is pretty accurate, the gritty details and performances are what really hold the movie together, the story is pretty weak and definitely is way below what it really could have been. If anybody knows about a film titled Q & A from 1990 starring Nick Nolte as a corrupt cop that is definitely one movie that one ups all these corrupt cop films is worth mentioning. Narc was very good but just suffered from that stupid split screen thing they did in the beginning of the movie. Dark Blue was a disappointing film only because with such an intriguing premise such as the 92 LA riots and Rodney King beating they just completely wasted what could have been a really serious drama about police corruption and racial tension and turned it into a rather lackluster quadrupile murder investigation where the Captain was using two crackheads to robb and give him money. Ving Rhames and Brendon Gleeson are completely wasted in this film given roles that are simply just good and evil with Rhames being the angel like Black character and Gleeson being the evil white devil, just wasted in roles that could have been written better. The riot scene is tacked on at the end and really doesn't have much tension but is well done in a tynical way. The score is so below average it annoyed me throughout the film. The sets are plain and stale to the eye not giving much eye candy. Scott Speedman is COMPLETELY miscast as the new guy with the range of Jean Claude Van Damme as his performance in this film. The only saving grace is Kurt Russell who delivers a slimy but sympthatic performance as a man raised to be a monster but must face the consequences of his actions. Dark Blue just really more suffers from a script that is uninventive, Ron Shelton's wrong direction for this material, and the film's low budget. I honestly believe if more money was put into this movie it would have came out better, it wasn't epic enough.
