I kinda liked it, as I enjoy almost any horror movie no matter how bad, so I just don't understand the hatred for this movie. Is it because you feel it would be better as a non Friday the 13th movie, was it the over the top,( admittedly stupid) action/plot at the end, or is it something else? Please don't just say it sucked.
shareI just rewatxhed this tonight on tv since I normally don't watch it out of the collection of movies I own and I really still cannot get into it. I'm not gonna say it sucks, because I have seen way worse, but it is just so dang....weird? Especially for a Friday the 13th movie. The whole space theme was just off to me. And the acting and everything else was just SO bad compared to the other films. I don't think any of the Friday movies are masterpieces but some of them are classics for me as far as horror goes. Especially when you start gettin into Jason lives etc. I'm not gonna say I hate Jason x because I love Jason vorhees so much, but it could have been done so much better if they really tried. I mean, if in honest, to me, it's worse than a syfy original movie. Just so underwhelming.
shareI watched this when it was new and then caught it last night. Now my memory of it is of a bad but watchable film with some entertaining parts, after seeing it last night I have to go with very bad and barely watchable. Their is just so much wrong with it, this film actually made the ridiculousness of Jason goes to Hell seem decent in comparison.
shareThis film requires a bit of context in order to enjoy. It's the tenth Friday the 13th film. It takes place in space. If anyone expected it to be serious or scary, that's their bad.
shareLooks and feels like a Syfy channel movie. All Canadian bland and boring cast. It just doesnt feel like a big screen movie and it feels like a tv movie or direct to video movie. They went the cheap route and didnt put much effort into it.

Simple: Jason in space, too cartoonish, so syfy channel movie material, cgi fantasy crap, lexa doig is the worst leading actress and this is more of a scifi action movie than traditional horror.
I love this movie at least they did something different the only thing I dont like is not enough of uber jason and he didnt kill anyone with the badass new machette

Because this movie makes a mockery out of the entire series and takes a giant *beep* on what made the first six or so absolutely creepy/scary.
Watch Friday the 13th Part 2(my personal favorite of the series), and then go watch this hideous piece of garbage. The tonal differences are astounding, and Harry Manfredini's original score absolutely.... wait for it... kills.
I rank this movie alongside Leprechaun 4: In Space as one of the greatest cinematic masterpieces of all time. You people know nothing of quality.
