They had no idea how much lower the franchise would sink
shareIt has some moments which could have been better, but having just watched it this week I found it to be not as bad as I thought the first time I watched it when it came out. Glad I watched it again.

shareI still think it's bad. It's just the same movie as T2, merely done by Arnold as a promotion for his campaign for Governor of California.
Terminator Salvation was 10 times better because it actually did what a Terminator sequel should've done long before and actually show John Connor in the future war with skynet (albeit not that well, but still better than the other sequels). Genisys and Dark Fate are not worth watching.
I hated the "talk to the hand" elements of the movie so hard i never watched it a second time till like 15 years later. a quick edit could really save this movie. omit a few silly bits, extend a couple action shots. I mean the graveyard casket scene goes by so fast, blink and you miss it. absolutely iconic as hell, we just needed another 10 seconds of him standing there blowing stuff up. movie did that crap a lot, was just in too much of a hurry with the good stuff. i was a big fan of both Danes and Stahl when this came out, and this is where I became a fan of Loken's. as bad sequels goes, this was a damn masterpiece. my standards used to be so much higher! i mean we all wanted T2 part 2 but that was never gonna happen. they still ain't ever made another movie like it.
