I was just wondering how old fans of this movie are? whether you were the same age as the characters/older/younger?
share14, I was a bit late but i had picked it up at the video store for about two years and asked to get it but i wasnt allowed to get it...
Probably watched it a month ago.
I first saw it at 20 and loved it then, but I'm 23 now and my best friend (who has no idea what she wants to do with her life) just backed out of being my roommate, so obviously I'm loving the movie even more.

i saw it when i was 14, and i didnt understand it at all. So i saw it again at 15, and now i absolutley love it.

Saw it when I was 19, 23 now and still love the film and am a huge D.G. Clowes fan, thanks to the movie.
It does seem to speak to the younger generation as a 'coming of age' story, but Seymour's story is something I can relate to as an adult who doesn't really fit into the world of fast-food, branding/advertising and all the horrors of living in the West in the 90's and 2000's.
"Give them a Big-Mac and a pair of Nikes and they're happy. I just can't relate to 99% of humanity". That sums it up I think.
