What an annoying soundtrack...
In the first scene the music fit, but after sometime it got just too overbearing. Halfway in I wanted to stab my already-busted eardrums, it was SOOO loud and annoying. :(

shareWell seems like the verdict is in. This thread has been going for a few years now and a great majority seem to love the soundtrack. I too love the soundtrack to this film. It is deeply haunting music to go with a deeply creepy movie. It works brilliantly in my opinion. I also own the soundtrack and most of Damon Albarns music. And to Duelly who is quick to knock and call people weird for enjoying this soundtrack, everyone here seems to like it, so maybe it is you who is weird?
shareI had to comment on this. I know it's almost 3 years old. But a bunch of fans on a message board FOR the movie is hardly a "verdict".
shareI never understood the complaints about the soundtrack. Ever since seeing the film back in '99, the soundtrack has always stayed with me. Very unique and instantly memorable.
I'm glad the filmmakers decided to give the film a folk-tinged, spooky-Western soundtrack instead of a cliche Hollywood horror score(you know, the ones that are chock full of those random violin noises). The Ravenous OST almost gives the movie a "Weird West" vibe(whick is probably why I enjoy it so much).

Good Lord, it's hard for me to imagine someone disliking this score, the Boyd's Journey and End Title themes are simply amazing.
shareI don't hate the music, but I was bothered by the synthesizer in some of the songs. It made it sounds like a demo from Casio electric keyboard.
shareI agree. One of the few movies I can recall where the soundtrack was completely unfitting. The music in the scene with Toffler getting chased through the woods sounded like it came out of a kids' show.
shareAmazing amazing soundtrack, i cant get enough of it, id say its the most listen to album my itunes over the 18 months. Thats about all i can say.
shareWell done that man!, Colquhoun's Story is a nice wee tune for on the train
Leo the Fart is Gonna Pass Gas One more time!!
I agree that it's an amazing soundtrack. Seriously one of my favorites of all time...I thought it fit well in the movie, but it also stands out perfectly on its own. One of the few CDs period that I can pop in any time and it automatically puts me in the mood to listen to it.
shareIt's different and takes some getting used to but it's brilliant, I have it on my hard-drive.
