So for those of you that have seen the movie.

share9/10
It was an amazing movie that was very well-done, had great acting, beautiful music, good special-effects, great costumes, memorable scenes, a fantastic (if tragic) love story, and a good message about finding strength to keep on going, even when you lose that which matters to you most. It also is a good look at what kind of disasters hubris can bring when it comes to technology and ignoring warnings at your own peril.
The only flaws would include Rose losing Jack, and people played this movie and its music to death, so people kinda got sick of it after 5-10 years.
0/10 Because some of the men were not wearing flat caps! EVERY male wore a flat cap back in those days, especially those in 3rd class.
7.5/10 ... they overdo a little with the romance, chick-flick scenes and the Celine Dion "my heart will go on" stuff. I think the film erred by inserting a villainous character like Billy Zane as well as a shootout near the end: the sinking ship alone should have been enough to provide that sort of drama and tension
But the film overall is good. The costumes and cinematography are A+, even in 2024. The film's rendition of the sinking ship is terrifying; they really make the ice-cold water / ocean feel nightmarish
Overall though - A Night to Remember (1958) is the better movie
8/10
First half 7/10 and second half 9/10. After they hit the iceberg it's a pretty awesome movie.
I saw it in a theater when it was new, and I couldn't care less about ever seeing it again. I can't even rate it.
