Did anybody actually see this in a theater?

If so what did you think when you walked out? How many people were in the theater?

reply

Yes, somebody actually saw this in a theatre. I did for example. And it made me cry.

I saw it in 1998 when it was in the theatres for the first time. I was living in Tokyo at that time. It was February, just like now, and freezing cold. I'll never forget how my husband and I came out of the theatre when it was over, still totally caught up in the film, stepping out into the cold dark night, and our first thought - simulataneously - was: "How lucky we are that we're not in the icy cold water now!..."
It's hard to describe... but that was really how it felt at that moment.

A few weeks later, I went to Germany (my home country) for a vacation, and Titanic was a big hit in the theatres over therre too. I took a friend to watch the German dubbed version. Back in Tokyo, the film was still running for about two months, so I took another friend, and later another friend, to watch it again with me - I must have watched it at least four times altogether in the course of four months or so. :-)

Last night I watched the DVD again after a long time. Still a very emotional experience.

I saw it in 1997 with my class. We were 15 so all the comments were about how hot Rose was, the car sex scene, the propeller guy scene, Fabrizio's death and imitating Fabrizio's accent and lines LOL.

Pretty much anyone who was alive in 1997 saw it in theaters. I think I saw it about 4 times. No walkouts and there were good crowds each time.

I saw it twice in the theaters and it was awesome and the place was packed both times.

It is such a great movie.

I did see it in the theatre. I don't recall the audience reaction or what theatre I was in, but I remember thinking the visual and audio effects were through the roof. The theatre was cold (as most theatres are), which played into the scenes of Rose and Jack in the freezing dark water.

I saw it twice in its original run, and then again when it was re-released in IMAX 3D. The film was an event, a cultural moment.

I was in first or second grade. I remember this movie was huge, nearly everyone in class had seen the movie in theaters. Everyone used to talk about the film. Some of the girls used to sing Celine Dion's "My heart will go on" theme in the playground

I, however, saw the movie only on PPV, not at the theaters.
