If so what did you think when you walked out? How many people were in the theater?
shareWITH MY AUNT,AND SISTER...IT WAS SOLD OUT FOR EVERY TIME SLOT...WE GOT TICKETS FOR LIKE 11 PM...HAD TO WAIT IN A ZOO LINE LIKE DISNEYLAND...OBVIOUSLY NOT AN EMPTY SEAT IN THE THEATER...I LIKED IT...NOT WHAT I WAS INTO AT THE TIME,BUT IT WAS VERY ENTERTAINING.
shareI did, but I was with my Dad and as soon as the ship sank he was like "OK movie's over let's go", and I found out later that we missed the best part (such an inconsiderate dumbass). I later saw it in 3D in 2012 and got the full experience.
shareWell I was working in a cinema as an usher at the time so I was watching it 2-3 times a day! I loved it at the time and I still like it today. It was such a HUGE film in its day, it was the film everyone HAD to see.
I just remember the scores of young girls leaving the cinema after watching Titanic, trying to cover up the obvious fact that they’d been crying by saying things like ‘I’ve got something in my eye’ LOL. So funny.
It’s a good film though, it deserved all its Oscars.
I saw it with my new baby. We went to a matinee, and whenever he got fussy, I nursed him. The movie was enthralling. Glad I went.

It was in the theaters like forever and we waited until it pretty much ran its course so we didn't get crappy seats or have to sit behind the local basketball team. I didn't go to many movies then but my wife and I saw it because I knew it was epic in scope and I wanted to see it on a big screen first. Not disappointed.
there was a lot of opportunity to see it. It was in theaters for almost six months.

This movie was a big deal and huge hit.
There was the hype before its release that it was among most expencive movies ever made and I remember reading that they built a huge tank with gallons of water and they built parts of the ship so they filmed some scenes that way.
I was really impressed with the movie, especially the special effects. The sinking scene was really impressve, I was in awe. Also it was sad, the scene with the old couple lying on the bed and hugging gets me every time to this day. And when the band continued playing, that was sad too.
I was straining myself not to cry as I had mascara on so I didn’t wanna risk runny make up.
I was angry that Jack died, was of the opinion that they should have shared that door or take turns. I wasn’t that much in the romance part of the movie anyway.
Oh, and of course that Celine Dion track was a massive hit.
I saw it in (I believe) Jan 1998 when it was released in UK theatres. Loved every minute of it, and my emotions raised a whole massive level for me to start blubbing when Fifth Officer Lowe saw the dead woman with the baby in the water (who had earlier approached Captain Smith for help). Found it difficult to hide my wet eyes when I left.
