I was 8 going on 9 years old in 1996, but I hadn't really heard of them until about late 1997, shortly before I turned 10.

I really need a clever signature.

I was 6 going on 7 and in first grade. I remember these girls sang wannabe and danced in front of the whole grade. I wonder what the teachers thought at hearing "If you wannabe my lover, you gotta get with my friends" from 6 year olds....

I was 8, ah Gud times. lol

reply

*Sigh* Wordddd, good times.

I was 8 and all my little school friends and I were crazed about them. Bah, everyone was. Anyway, much like every group of girlies, we would always pretend to be them. I was always Sporty Spice ^_^.

And if I recall, before the Spice Girls, it was the era of the Power Rangers, wasn't it? I was always the Yellow Ranger! Because she was Asian, man! Woohoo!

But seriously, weren't the Spice Girls way better role models to young girls than Britney ever was? I remember getting older hearing the smaller kids singing "Hit Me Baby One More Time." Say what?!

Sorry folks. Lately I've been getting major fits of nostalgia. You'll have to excuse me. Laterz ^_^.
