I don't think it's much of a big thing in Canada, but do people go to their high school reunions and make it a big thing like the movie? I doubt it's like senior prom, and doubt many go.
Please correct me if I've got it all wrong...
I went to a rather small school. To give an example, my wife's graduating class had twice as many students as my entire high school. I attended the 10th but there were very few people there. After that they decided to have one big reunion for every fifth year (i.e. 5,10,15,20, 25, 30, etc. all had one reunion) Decided I didn't want anything to do with that.
shareNope. I hated the kids I went to school with and felt so good after graduation. I took comfort in the idea that I'd never see that damned school or my classmates ever again. And I haven't. I wouldn't go to my high school reunions even if some idiot paid me a million bucks. They can all rot in hell for all I care.
shareI went to my 20 year reunion five years ago and about a hundred of students showed up, everyone had a great time, to me that was the highlight of 2019.
shareI guess some go, but my wife and I never did. They stopped sending invitations after the 10 year.
