Best Scene?

In my opinion the best scene is the last one, when they do the last striptease.
What do you think?

The scene in the unemployment line with Hot Stuff in the background.

The scene with Horse in the telephone booth

The original strip dance in the steel mill.

My favorite part in this film is when Dave suggests drowning as a way to die and Lomper says, "I can't swim," then Gaz replies with, "You don't have to swim, you divvy, that's the whole f@*#ing point." I have seen this movie quite a few times now, and that still makes me laugh quite hard. It will never get old for me.

In fact, anything with Lomper is amazing. He's my favorite character. I like the cute bashful ones. ^_^

It isn't my favourite (the dancing in line scene is by far my favourite just because of the other blokes reactions) but I love when the local girls are teasing them about going 'The Full Monty' and Horse says 'My Willie' and Lomper repsonds with "Your willie??-MY WILLIE!' always makes me laugh.

Also I love when thay are practicing and no one can get what Gerald is saying until Horse says to run the Arsenal trap and wave your arms like a fairy and they say 'Why didn't ya just say so' or something similar.

Great movie - all the scenes are funny and the movie has definite rewatchablility which is great

My favourite would have to be when they're at Gerald's house, and they're taking their kit off... Dave is complaining that he's fat, and Gerald is suggesting cling film, which is supposed to help him lose weight... and Dave goes.. "Cling film? I'm not a chicken drumstick!" haha... gets me every time...

When they're standing in line and they start dancing to the music... the look on Gaz's face as he's watching them... that cracked me up... lol

The striptease at the end... can't forget that one... hehe... =P

"How do the catholics do that thing?"
"North, south, east, west."

The whole movie cracked me up, but one of the funniest parts was when Lomper and Guy are running around in those red thongs with their white butts exposed to the world.

El Paso, Texas...ever heard of it?

reply

It makes me laugh everytime when they're watching flashdance, and Dave is taking it seriously that she's a welder. "I hope she dances better than she welds, look at that! Her mix is all to pot!......those joints won't hold *beep* all" etc.

Brilliant.

That had me cracking up too. 'The acetalyne mix is all to pot'.

When Gaz is stripping to "You Sexy Thing" and forgets to put out his cigarette when he tries to take his shirt off:
Gaz: I need an audience.
Dave: You need a doctor.

I also love it when the repo men try to take Gerald's TV, and then thry all enter the room half-naked, telling the repo men to put the TV down. The reaction of the repo men is hilarious.

"Metal Gear! It can't be..."

When Gaz starts stripping for the very first time and you hear all his coins tumbling to the ground.

Favorites:

1) final scene, of course
2) the impromptu dance to "Hot Stuff" while in the unemployment line
3) the performance for Horse's female relatives -- their reactions were priceless
4) the gnomes during Gerald's interview

5) The series of scenes after they get arrested and word gets out what they are up to. Includes Gerald trying to steal all the newspapers that have their arrest on the front page. Also when one of them (Horse?) is asked in the unemployment line if he has been seeking work and he says no, she replies with a smirk, "That's not what I'VE heard."

Dancing to 'Hotstuff' was absolutely brilliant!

Either the 'Hotstuff queue' scene or when the brass band start playing the striper, genius!

When the red head guy tries to gas himself in the car and Dave pulls him out, and he says " You bastard!" and Dave shoves him back in the car and slams the door.

I also love the look on Dave's face when he realises that he's trying to kill himself, (after he just helped him with the car)!

And the touching scene towards the end when Gaz doesn't want to go out on stage and his son makes him. "Get out there and do your stuff!"

What are you looking at, you infantile stupid? That's right, damn you and such

For me, the funniest bit was the headbutting gnomes in the window during Gerald's interview, first time I saw the film I missed the ten minutes after that bit because I was still crying with laughter. This film is just brilliant, it ticks every box in the book.
