I love this film, but as most Brits know that Americans have a very different sense of humour (not prejudice in anyway my Aunty is American).
Just this film is made up of very British humour and was just curious to see if Americans enjoyed it as much as us Brits?
I'm another Yank who loved this movie. I've long been a fan of British humor. I'll admit I wasn't expecting the film to also be so uplifting and heartfelt, however, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was both those things as well.
it was nominated for 4 oscars and won 1. what do you think? well I'm watching it in 10 mins I'll get back to you...

shareI'm a lass from West of the Atlantic, and the film is great. Hate to say this (maybe not) but most American films get less attention from someone like me. The films that come from Canada, UK, and Europe take up more space in my collection.
shareI'm a "Yank", & I own it, & love it, I even use the British subtitles instead of American ones, because I get a kick out of the terms, not because I can't hear!!!
