Half-hearted bump (sorry). Stephen Sommers has become such a big deal since - via the Mummy franchise that a sequel just wouldn't seem like it was made by the same guy. He can afford a name cast & gazillions of CGI.
But if he could promise to deliver the same stripped-down, nothing wasted direction & a cast we don't immediately recognise, I'd be up for it.

I agree, A SEQUEL IS IN ORDER! And better yet, have James Gunn (Slither) write and direct it :) :) :) :) that would be pretty much perfect if you ask me :)

(Along with a sequel, can I please vote for a decent release here in Australia? We've only got a nasty el cheapo pan&scan.)
