Better than Batman Forever?

I think it is.

I can't figure out why this picture is so universally hated as opposed to Batman Forever.

Both are just big budget movie version's of the old 60's television show.

I can't say about others, but I personally think George Clooney batman looks more like a senator than someone beating up criminal at night.

Think about it, what kind of person would become batman? In my opinion it is someone frustrated and angry, and not very social.

George Clooney batman should become a mayor candidate, or pick and support a mayor candidate. Why would he commit crimes to save Gotham, when there are other options?

For George Clooney batman those are very viable options. Those options at least should have been tried first, before he went out at night risking his life committing assaults on criminals.

Also for someone like that he should have already been married, and with kids.

In the end it is just not a batman movie, more of an expensive parody.

Interesting opinion and I have to say I can see where you are coming from. Personally the only Batman films for me from that era were the Burton films. I was very sad they didn't continue with those.

Of course it is. The first 30 minutes was very entertaining, if my memory serves. Sadly it didn't quite last to the end. Its unintentionally funny movie, which is quite rare in big budget Hollywood productions. Batman Forever sucked in comparison.

Batman Forever had so many much more reason's to make much more then the 50 million Batman & Robin didn't.

A new Batman
A new director
A new direction
A successful soundtrack
Lots and lots and lots and lots of press

Not in any universe.

cawld, like my cawld heart

I think I've seen this once (about the time of release), that's the only line I remember (from Arnie). Apart from "holey rusted metal Batman"

I thought it was alright...

I understand it was made as a big screen version of the 60s TV show but Forever is still the better movie. Batman and Robin is good for roasting if you're high or drunk. Even the creators and actors hate the movie.

Great points blue

best post ever

reply

Nope. Not even close.

Forever tries to be serious whereas Batman & Robin knows that it is supposed to be a silly comic book movie so that makes it better. Also Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy is one of the best performances in any superhero movie.
