Unless I just grew up but I remember when this show was on it was can't miss TV. But I tried watching it again and I couldn't even get threw 2 episodes

So sick of the "didn't age well". It aged fine. Its a prison show, not some bullshit PC crap like we get today. Could you enlighten me as to what didnt age well??

Me too! Just bought all the seasons since I haven't seen the show since its original airing on HBO. It's as gripping and entertaining as I remember it... and disturbing. But it's supposed to leave the viewer disturbed and unsettled.

How about Miami Vice? Don Johnson not only didn't have a smartphone, he didn't even have a cell phone! Very few people had them in the 80's.

Exactly. It's set in prison. Things don't change much in prison even in 20 years. Lol. Is there some new modern ethos in prison in 2023 which we don't know about?

I often see complaints that the absence of surveillance cameras makes OZ unrealistic, that all the evidence-free killings could never happen. The answer to that: Jeffrey Epstein.

I've been in prison. Of course this was years ago, but close to the time which OZ was filmed. There are cameras but they are not that high tec. There are plenty of ways to do something out of surveillance of the camera. Most the single and two man cells do not have cameras.

I agree it was just so phony now when you watch it it's actually garbage I don't know why everyone's so emotional in this thread
