The funniest parts...

I have to say that one of the funniest parts in any movie I have ever seen is that part where the guy is auditioning and he's like...

"I'm going to do a scene from Raging Bull"

"You *beep* my wife?!"

"What? How could..."

"You *beep* my wife?"

And with the cut to Corky with his hands over his mouth!

Ahh...that was classic.

And I love that Sheila's bangs are always in the same style no matter what her hairdo is. I mean, even in the posters for the previous community theatre projects her bangs are the same! Oh, I laughed and and laughed.

Also in one of the scenes from their play when Ron and Sheila are supposed to be talking or whispering and they're like "hub bub, huh bub."

And of course, not to mention, "We consider ourselves bi-coastal, if you consider the Mississippi River a coast."

Ron: ... even though we don't have any lines.

Sheila: We should be line dancing!

I love how in the deleted scenes, her disappointment in her marriage really comes through, particularly in the baseball scene. We get glimpses of it throughout the film, particularly the restaurant scene where she hints towards his small penis, but even then, Ron is shown as so domineering. Since he couldn't tame her in the bedroom, he had to make up for it in public.

- The whole "My Dinner with Andre" dialogue.

"I'd like to meet some guys...some Italian guys....and watch tv or somethin'."

-Sheila talking about "Less is more" acting, and Ron and Sheila talking about their "extensive scene studies" at home.

and everybody's favorite...

"Well then, I just HATE YOU, and I hate your ASS FACE!"

Ass Face is classic as well as the line when he gets turned down for his money request

The UFO didn't just hover it stopped and landed. The people got on and looked around. We had dinner, it was a potluck. It went something like that. My favorite part.

Also, I liked. The one probed me and I must have been there 3 or four hours. Then off and on different ones would come in and they would all probe me. Not at the same time. Different times. I noticed that after they took me on the ship every sunday my buttocks would be numb.

XD classic stuff man.

And of course, his last note during "Bulging River"; an extra scene.

And the "Penny for Your Thoughts" number is hysterical, especially to someone who took ballet for nine years =D

Ron's unit is only small because he had it reduced. This is also discussed in the commentary bewteen CG and EL, where CG describes how they wanted to represent this in the form of a flashback of Ron jumping hurdles, but they were falling over(from his inordinately large Unit), before he actually cleared them.
As well as in the Restaurant Scene where a drunken Sheila describes how she told him to "Do Something!", prior to his surgery. To which he responds "Why not get a V*gina Enlargement"...then Ron orders coffee for her

I'm not trying to be annoying...it just always works out that way.

Oh truly "Ass Face" is classic! But I am more partial to the whole "Bassssstard People" dialogue...

I'm not trying to be annoying...it just always works out that way.

In my opinion, the funniest part is the outtake of Parker Posey's audition. "Who's on top and who's on bottom NOW, Billy?"

Personally, I thought Levy's line was pretty good (probably just me)

oh my gosh, yes that is my absolute favourite scene!
i can't believe they cut it out!!

And you told us that mother was wrong and we were right. Didn't you, Muffin? And I took care of you and Billy. But Billy was much more trouble than you, wasn't he, Muffin? Especially when he got to be bigger than Susan. And made her do things she did NOT want to do.

Dr. Pearl's audition takes the cake. When he can't hold the long note, he simply takes a breath and continues. Stuff of genius.

best part ever.

during the first rehearsal, where corky is playing drums and everyone's dancing, fred willard has a red piece of cloth, and he goes to his wife and then parker, "shimmying" them up. when he gets to eugene, he skips him, and just that whole sequence where they all laugh, and fred willard repeats what he did over and over again is funny. cause he thought it was hilarious. loved it.

the whole scene studies dialogue with fred and catherine. also hilarious

and later on: "I'll always have a place at the dairy queen" while she grills the single chicken wing. GENIUS

--David Cross saying that the temp in the UFO circle is always 67 degrees with a 40% chance of rain!!!!! hahahahahaha!!!!!

The UFO expert cracks me up -- talking about the radius of the circle always staying the same, which brings him back to the number 5 - and there are 5 letters in the word Blaine (but of course there are 6)...

Also -
When Ron explains that he does impressions but he always has to explain to his wife who he is "doing".

Anyone who has ever been in community theater will really understand this movie -

Where to begin with the funniest parts of this movie? I would have to say that any part with Eugene Levy, Fred Willard, or Catherine O'Hara were classic scenes, and Christopher Guest....that man is a genius. I would have to say that when Eugene Levy is singing in the play and he had his glasses off, and Fred Willard asks him the whole "what does your keen eyesight see?" and the lazy eye of Eugene's....almost falling out of the chair laughing right now. The restaurant scene with the whole conversation about his surgery, and Catherine slurring out, "Why don't you get a vagina enlargement" and the looks on the faces of Eugene and his wife...this was a surprising movie to me, I was not expecting it to be so damn funny.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you-do or do not there is no try.

That scene in the restaurant is, hands down, the best drunk scene captured on film. And the hangover scene (in the extras) when Ron tries to get Sheila to play baseball in the yard is almost as good.

...and that's all I have to say about that.

I absolutely love the drunk Sheila scene. But, the funniest part in the whole movie to me is when Corky is doing the dance in his apartment with his pants on backwards. Honorable mention: from the deleted scenes, the Guest/Willard parts in "This Bulging River."

mix up the letters in the word Blaine.. you get Nebali. Nebali, the planet the aliens came from.

i love how he says that within the circle there is ALWAYS a 30% chance of rain or something to that extent. ohh man funniest movie EVER

the funniest parts for me-

the dinner scene in the chop suey place when fred willard stands up and is about open his pants to eugene levy.

when levy is telling guest he has a lazy eye and cant take off his glasses.

when levy walks out during the play with the fake beard and no glasses, and hes got that lazy eye!! that was so funny...

I like when Sheila was rehearsing with everyone else, but you can only really hear her, and she's really loud and off key, and when she comes in really eary and sings STOOOOOOOOL-
and then says sorry for coming in early, pretty hilarious!

Yeah, Corky covering his face with his hands, it's like you can just tell what he's thinking.

This movie is chock full of great moments, but Libby Mae always sticks out in my mind....

"I been workin' here at the D.Q. for about, um... eight months? Seven? I don't know, somethin' like that, it's fun. Just do the cones... make sundaes, make Blizzards, 'n... put stuff on 'em, 'n... see a lot of people come in, a lot of people come to the D.Q... burgers... ice cream... anything, you know? Cokes... just drive in and get a Coke, if you're thirsty."

And her audition singing 'Teacher's Pet'.....classic.

I was rolling on the floor laughing.

I thought that part was kinda sad....hilarious, but in a sad kind of way....like her dreams were dead.

You know me...bright ideas just pop into me head, and I keep thinking...
