Totally! Let alone the looks, I can't believe there are people who think she can act.

To the OP: Ruin? No. She's not my favorite actress but she pulls off the role well enough, and she also does show that she can sing. (which given a few years later she did start a singing career isn't exactly shocking).

I found her annoying throughout; I really was a bit fed up with how far Lenny went to try and save her.

Exactly.

Plus, she is a rocker in real life, so she didn't have to fake the songs.

That and one should really try to divorce their feelings about an actor to see if they can actually perform the part they're cast in. She did a good job of playing the slut here--with just a tinge of regret and self-loathing--that made it a perfect casting.

She almost killed the movie for me, but this movie is so amazing if she could not kill it.

I find her annoying in every movie she is in. Her face, her voice, the way she walks. I hope she isn't really like that.

Not for me, she is perfect for this role in my opinion. Sexy sexy AND you want to punch her lights out. Perfect for this character.
