Yeah. I agree, as a 29-year-old man/film student. It was icky. I thought there was a different way they could have done it, without the mouth contact. It brought back memories of a clip I saw from Lolita (the remake with Jeremy Irons), where Irons actually kisses the girl. Gross. How did he agree to do that? So my respect goes down after watching scenes like that.
It's a great film but that one scene almost ruins the movie (also, there is another scene where Koteas' character moves in real close -- not sure if that was necessary either)... Yeah, they are supposed to be dark, pervy, Angels and Demons (Christopher Walken, etc.) but it was a little much.
