Music ruins it abit

That annoying guitar music was wel used for sum parts, but the whole way through,it just got ridiculous and made it seem like a comedy.

Being a huge Neil fan i may be bias but i thought the music was great, it helps the film flow. I loved the subtle organ piece where Thel is showing William the flowers! I have to say i really enjoyed this film, you gotta love depp for choosing little gems like this in between the big blockbusters.

I agree even not being a Neil fan. Great soundtrack!

It is a comedy... assassins with teddy bears?... whisky gives me the *beep* "Nobody" the Indian and almost all of his lines?... Goldylocks, and the bears scalping her and making a sweater for Baby bear?...

The fact that Depps role "William Blake" which is a famous poet who was pretty much ignored until he died?...

Not calling this a comedy would be like calling Monty Python And The Holy Grail an accurate depiction of the Middle-Ages...

I agree that it was annoying, but it was meant to be!! and I loved it, the music was incredible, and did you know that it was an improvisation?!

excuse me??????? that is NOT true!

The music sounded great to me, just mixed about 3db too loud on the soundtrack.

To refer all the way back to the original post I have to agree. Neil Young's incidental music is great up to a point, its just that the film becomes too laden with it and it then becomes irritating. The main score itself though is just great.

You can't be serious, the music was truly amazing.

Oh baby, baby it's a wild world

The music seemed out of place at spots and eventually was distracting. I felt it played too much of a role and didn't allow the film to breathe. If it were used more sparingly then it would've been good.

The score was perfect, and actually got me interested in Neil Young's work, which, I must admit, I didn't like aside from Dead Man. So I am clearly not a Neil Young fan.
Why hate it? Because it's not mainstream?

it *is* a comedy--a dark one. After all, the very last line is a joke. I admit I'm a huge Neil Young fan, but the score is one of the things that I love about this movie--I think it's unique. In how many other movies does a single artist, especially one with Young's reputation, sit down and improvise over the whole film, based on what's going on each scene?
