Yes, Fox did cancel it...

but that still doesn't mean, that it will be over. In planetmadtv.com there is article about this, and it says that MADtv has had offers from different tv-stations over the years. So maybe it will be in another channel.

I personally would love, if MADtv does continue. And this thread isn't for you haters. If you don't like MAD, fine. Don't come here to tell us that. Even though season 13 and 14 weren't as good as the previous ones, it still is good comedy to me.

Yeah, I'm kinda pissed about that. But since this news been going on since November (which I've just heard about it this month), I'm even more pissed to be hear about this at the last minute.

I do hope that another network picks up on it, because this show is my fav on Saturday nights. Saturday Night live is another.

Wow...what is so sad was this was a funny show. It just needs a new cast and writing changes. Saturday Night Live was in this spot MANY times after the original "Not Ready For Prime Time Players". They got ready, and as with all good talent it was time to move on.

McDonald left the show out of his own free will, thank god. It was a fading icon and god bless him for ditching it early as he did.

I hope another network picks up the show and gives it chance.. I've always enjoyed the show not one episode I haven't enjoyed, and tons of great sketches, mind you I have only been watching it for a years (outside USA), and there have been some brillianty funny sketches.

And I too miss old cast members, but it does give others chance.

BREAKING NEWS......BREAKING NEWS......BREAKING NEWS

FOX has cancelled MADtv which has been running for 14 years. This shocks die hard fans who thought the show ended 12 years ago.

LOL.

although that is true, you can't replace all of them.
i personally loved alex borstein, nicole sullivan, micheal mcdonald, and mo collins. When they got rid of them, it jusst wasnt funny. All the new people arent as funny as them. Of course ike and bobby lee are hysterical, but i saw one of the new episodes, and i was like, wtf? where is everyone?
If they do keep going, they need the old people back.

I don't care if it's not for me, I hate MAD. It used to be good, but unlike SNL, which had ups and downs, this was like a goddamn stock market crash!

I have to disagree with some people here. The cast for the past few years has been the best. I always liked Michael McDonald, Will Sasso, Aries Spears, and Debra Wilson, but Nicole Parker, Krista Flanagan, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Arden Myrin were also all brilliant. I could have done without Bobby Lee, Nicole Sullivan, and Alex Borstein because none of them or their original stuff was ever that funny (Bae Sung was okay, but Antonia? Ms. Swan? Really?). Nicole Randall Johnson, Ike Barinholtz, Stephnie Weir, and Ron Pederson were all hilarious but they weren't around for that long. I'm know I'm forgetting some, but except for certain skits I guess other members weren't that memorable for me. I think probably 2000-2008 were the best years. Anyway, I hope somebody picks it up because SNL has been crap for quite awhile between the head writing of Tina Fey (who for some reason everybody thinks is great, but she is just another super-liberal jackass along with her new buddies Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin (blow me 30 Rock!)), Amy Poehler (hope Parks and Recreation crashes and burns) and even more recently Seth Meyers (his brother Josh on MadTV was so much funnier). To the haters, don't bother flaming me, seriously, I won't read it. This is just for the MadTV lovers out there. If it doesn't come back - R.I.P.

I stopped watching MADtv since Season 12. I even had a huge website dedicated to it, and now I just don't feel like updating it. I don't like the new cast at all, except Nicole Parker and Crista who are always funny. For the rest I don't really care. I wouldn't care also if the show gets canceled. It would be awesome though to have the show's DVDs released once and for all.

I always preferred Madtv over SNL. Does suck that they canceled it, though, I never watched it for the past few years, the cast was pretty bad. I always thought Ike was an inside joke, since he wasn't funny at all (or just tried too hard) & I don't understand why they would keep someone like Ike on the show unless he was a joke. Decisions like this, I suppose, led to the downfall.
