Love Actually VS Four Weddings and a Funeral

Which do u guys think is better? Both have Hugh Grant in it and Richard Curtis writing. They also have that similar theme to it. Personally I think Love Acutally is better. How about you all?

Interesting question, I had always wanted to see Love Actually but never got a around to it until recently. I absolutely HATED it... actually. I couldn't believe this was from the same guy that wrote 4 Weddings & a Funeral. There was too many mishmash story lines and I found NONE of the characters appealing or sympathetic in any way. Furthermore the most offense part in Love was the portrayal of a VERY NORMAL looking woman as fat. Very disappointing indeed. A day after I returned the DVD, I was hanging out at a relative's house and was flipping channels when on the Encore channel there was Four Weddings and a Funeral just starting. I must have seen it 100 times in the past, though it's been some time since I last saw it and after the trauma of having watched Love Actually, I wondered would it still have the same appeal it once had. Well, after viewing it, I fell in love with the movie (& Hugh Grant) all over again!!! Without a doubt, (for me anyway) 4 Weddings is by far the superior movie. Love Actually is set in Christmas, and for that reason I guess it will live on (at least once a year), but Four Weddings is a true classic that can be enjoyed anytime of year.

Tough toss up...a couple years ago I would have definitely said Love Actually but I dunno for some reason I watch FWAAF more these days.

Love Actually is probably a more flawed movie but is so ambitious it makes up for it...I just think the whole Laura Linney plot was pointless.

I think Four Weddings is far better. Love Actually was a big disappointment for me.

Four Weddings is much more straightforward and beautifully acted. Its attractions are immediate.

Love Actually is more complex, so well constructed, and beautifully balanced. With its large, talented ensemble cast and multiple plots so engrossing and artfully arranged, it takes longer to appreciate. I like it better each time I see it. In the words of Aurelia, "Yes, that would be my answer."

"Love Actually" comes in first for me...
Then "Notting Hill"
and "Four Weddings and a Funeral"

But I still would watch any Richard Curtis film, the man is incredible...

Four Weddings. Hands down. "Love Actually" was terrible.

This movie bored me to hell.. Love Actually on the other hand was quite brilliant..

FWAAF - 5.5/10

I didn't like Love Actually (oddly enough) but I absolutely LOVE 4 Weddings & a Funeral- one of the few movies I can watch again and again.
