The Fugitive (1993) vs In the Line of Fire (1993)
which is better?
shareMan that's a tough choice, I'll say The Fugitive is a tad better.
shareThe Fugitive easily. Sadly there's too much posturing by Eastwood. It's a great film but it could have been better.

shareNot only is The Fugitive better, it might be the best action-thriller ever made.

I have just got done watching In the Line of Fire for the first time in ages and it holds up pretty well and is a neat little thriller. The Fugitive betters it in nearly every way however. It has better music, characters, action, dialogue, and a better dynamic to the story. ITLOF is just a cop chasing an assassin, whereas TF is a cop chasing a fugitive who is chasing a murderer. That makes it more interesting and watchable. And as someone above said, Eastwood does a little too much posturing. Clint "god damnit!" Eastwood tends to be the same rough and tough character in many of his action movies.
The Fugitive but Malkovich gave a better performance in this than Jones did in the Fugitive.
