What Bothered You About This Show?

What characters in this show annoyed you? The only thing that bothered me about it was the Buttons and Mindy cartoon, because in every episode, Mindy would do something dangerous or naughty, and Buttons would get the blame. Yet, I think all the other cartoons were hilarious!

Slappy Squirrel. She was okay in most episodes, but that one where she put those two executives, movie makers (whatever they were) in the hospital...! The, the popcorn!!! *shudders*

Buttons and Mindy cartoons were kind of boring.

I didn't like 'em either.

I loved Slappy Squirrel. But that popcorn thing was a bit disturbing, now that you mention it...

I want...I want...I WANT EVERYTHING I'VE EVER SEEN IN THE MOVIES!

I felt the same way about Buttons and Mindy, but loved the show on the whole.

I hated mindy and slappy. I think thats about it. No one even mentioned Minerva Mink. She was annoying but I liked the werewolf episode.

Towards the end of the show I hated Mindy and the Brain. That was stupid.

Mindy and the Brain were together in only one episode--"Animaniacs Stew". All the characters' skits were mashed up at random. It's funnier in context.

I LUVED ANIMANIACS! I still luv it to this day! Rita & Runt were always my two top favorites. I didn't find out until last night that they were scratched from the series after the ep Witch One. I LUVED the Les Miseranimals one because I LUV Les Miserables. Buttons was my other favorite. He was so cute and loyal trying to protect Mindy from getting hurt. I HATED Mindy's parents for always blaming Buttons for something he didn't do after all the sacrifices he was putting into protecting Mindy. I don't dislike any of the characters cept one thing that started getting to me after awhile this is no offense to any of the Pinky & the Brain fans. I've always liked Pinky & the Brain but I found when they were starting to overshadow the other characters it kinda got to me. I still like them though and always enjoyed them! Esp. Pinky! NARF! Yakko and Wakko are my other favorites. Dot eh. Sometimes I found her annoying but I like her too. I use to dislike the Goodfeathers but they grew on me after awhile. The Randy Beaman kid cracked me up! The Hippos I didn't really like much either. I guess they were my least favorites. Other than that GREAT SHOW!! AND GREAT CHARACTERS! and great humor! Its certainly a lot better than most garbage thats on TV today for kids.

Personally I thought the Chicken Boo premise got old rather quickly. Gotta love that theme music though! "You wear a disguise to look like human guys, but you're not a man, you're a Chicken Boo".

I can't remember the name of the character (if he had a name) but there were these random skits where some kid would walk out onto his front porch and give some non-sequiturial anecdote that always felt like a throwaway gag to fill a couple seconds on screen.

I also didn't like Runt. He kind of got on my nerves. Shame because I loved Rita.

Oh my god! You killed Fritz! You yellow stinking fairies killed Fritz!

Ah, Colin, a.k.a. the Randy Beaman Kid. Sure, he was just there to fill airtime, but then again so were Mr. Skullhead and the Mime..

I liked this show, but as a kid I felt some of the cruelty, usually by the Warners or Slappy towards an enemy (not always though), went a little too far. There was violence and cruelty in the old Bugs Bunny cartoons, but nothing that was actually to the point of being disturbing.

I could not, and still cannot stand the following:

Goodfeathers
Buttons and Mindy (except once)
Rita and Runt
and Chicken Boo

The one time I was able to tolerate Buttons and Mindy was the episode when Dr. Scratchensniff brought in another toon to have group therapy with the Warners.

Unfortunately, he brought in Elmyra from Tiny Toons

As they tried running and hiding from her, they passed by Minday's house. Yakko got an idea and set a little walking bear in Mindy's path, when Buttons gets up to go after Mindy, Yakko stops him and say, "Relax, we got it covered."

And it's Elmyra that goes after Mindy and has to put up with the injuries Buttons would have otherwise been inflicted with.
