Does anyone think this was actually a decent film?

I recently re-watched this and to be honest, I don't think it deserves the coin term "so bad, it's good". Yes, MOST of the performances are kinda laughable, the costumes are pretty lazy and the climax is just horrendous. But there are actually a few decent things about this film. Firstly, not all of the performances are terrible. George Hardy does a pretty good job playing Joshua's father and the guy playing Grampa Seth actually delivers a haunting narration during the opening scene. Plus, I really the premise of the film about food that can kill you, I don't know I just find that kinda interesting. Overall, it's a pretty bad film, but not awful.

I watch a lot of stuff, much of it very stupid.
This is easily the biggest piece of shit I’ve recently watched and I only watched it for it’s rancid reputation and because my ‘best chums’ on MovieChat picked it for a group watch on Saturday night and I was the only idiot to show up and watch this piece of garbage.

I’m pretty certain that ‘Movie Night’ was an elaborate hoax and I got tricked!

It was actually amusingly stupid.
From the terrible acting to the meandering plot it was real good fun!

I watched it with my little black dog by my side and I doubt she cared for it any more than I did😄

These busters on MC really betrayed me! They are all on the ‘to-do’ list!
There will be a day of reckoning.

It's one of the most 'celebrated' so bad it's good films of all time. Even the people who like it think it's awful.

It's not a film I'd recommend to anyone ever. It's like getting rick-rolled.

They all selected the film and didn't show up, a cruel joke they played on you. They're probably laughing to themselves that you actually sat down and watched it. Lesson learned I guess, I hope you get those guys back sometime.

I think this movie is absolutely heelaryous and my 2 adult kids do as well! It has so many quotables which are funny AF and we have always viewed it as a dramedy!

"You Can't Piss On Hospitality! I won't allow it!"

"All We Have To Do Is...Heat It Up!"

"Nilbog Is Goblin Spelled Backwards! This Is Their Kingdom!"

It's like a feature length episode of Goosebumps or Are You Afraid of the Dark, but more edgy.
