Still the best speech ever in a movie.


It's so satisfying the way he owns them with that speech at the end. They really didn't have a choice but to let Charlie off after Slade dropped that bomb. The headmaster would look like a fool if he still punished him at that point. Pacino deserved the Oscar in my opinion.

Did anyone ever see the original or know where to find it? It’s Italian. 1974. Profumo di donna. It was nominated for two Academy Awards in 1976 as Best Foreign Film and Best Writing. Cesar for Best Film. Vittorio Gassman won best actor at Cannes.
