She had this poor little girl, who has no one left at this point, crying and begging her to stay with her for the night and she refused and left cause she wanted to go to a party and get laid. Jamie was crying and screaming for her to stay and she still walked out.
She was the first character in the franchise i was just begging for Michael to kill.
I hated that Tina left Jamie crying and scared, but she redeems herself when she sacrifices herself for Jamie. I don't think she really understood all that happened the previous year. She probably thought that Michael was dead, and she thought Dr. Loomis was crazy and making Jamie think the Boogeyman was real. Had she truly understood what happened the year before, I think she would've taken it a little more serious. I hated that she left Jamie, but like I said, she made up for it.
Also at the Tower Farm her and her friends play a prank and one of them dresses up as the guy who just a year ago tried to murder both Jamie and Rachel, and they make a joke of it. Yeah i stand by saying shes a piece of shit.
Maybe Tina didn't know what the mask looked like the year before. Plus, I doubt they would have pulled that prank on Jamie or Rachel. Just the two dumb cops. Good thing they were lousy cops, lol.
I'll admit I never understood why Tina was such a hated character in this franchise that just got more glum as it continued. I thought she was fun and lighthearted but she's also supposed to be portraying a high school student, so it makes sense that for such a vivacious free girl she would become reluctant and abrasive in the face of abrupt responsibility. Plus, she hadn't had the real Michael experience yet. Hell, she more than made up for it by giving her life. I actually hoped she would make it, because we got to see her go through an arc where she wasted no time in trying to rescue Jamie when she knew shit got real.
I HEAVILY dislike that this movie kills Rachel honestly, but Tina was a fun character I thought would end up just being a body bad, but she became a heroine...in a body bag.. and now that the second and third heroine died in the same movie and the bad guys got Jamie, this movie left me kinda drained with all efforts made in vain tbh.
Having just watchd H4 and H5 tonight for the first time, I didn't hate Tina, and would have liked to see more of her. She certainly looked cute in her shorts over the fishnet bodysuit ensemble. Too bad they couldn't have worked in a good nude/sex scene with her.
Plus, that prank she played at said party was in really bad taste. She was close friends with 2 people very nearly killed by Michael Myers in the previous film, yet she still found it funny to have a guy in a Michael Myers mask pretend to kill her? I don't care how annoying those cops were. That is pretty fucked up.
