is Anne Lewis a lesbian?

I've never heard anyone brought this up before, but has anyone ever noticed how the character virtually shows zero romantic or sexual interest to anyone in any of the RoboCop films? I'm not saying we need a Nicholas Sparks style romance between her and Reed or whoever but it is unusual for such a prominent female character to never once having been involved with anyone.

Not that it changes the films much, but just for the sake of speculation, who here thinks she's a lesbian? I think she is.

If she shows "zero romantic or sexual interest to anyone", you don't really have any basis for assuming she's lesbian, straight, or any other alphabetical denomination. Seems to me the writers just didn't bother to fill in this part of her character - boring I know.

There's no reason to define her sexuality in the original movie (I don't care about the sequels). This thread reminds me of someone saying that the only purpose of women in many American movies is just to prove that the leading man isn't gay. I guess whoever said that was right. One of the reasons Verhoeven's movie is so special is that it stays 100% on the subject and doesn't waste time on unnecessary sideplots.

I would suggest not. The big pointer, as it were, is that Boddiker henchperson Joe knocks her clean out, at gunpoint , because she just can’t resist a glance at his unsheathedness.

There’s nothing to suggest she’s a lesbian.

Did you see the way she looked at murphy at the beginning?
