Married With Grandchildren (2023)

I wish one of the streaming services would do it... a one season 10 episode revival would be enough, I just want to know what are they up to.

OH. Hell. Yeah.

reply

LOL agreed

Al must have divorced Peggy somewhere along the line and marries a Colombian woman with a chubby kid. In a lot of ways she is not all that different to Peggy.

Peggy starts hanging out with bikers.

Kelly becomes a real estate agent but then develops amnesia after a hit and run accident.

Bud works job to job never really amounting to anything.

😄😄😄😄

Revival shows rarely work, it seems. I say leave it alone.

reply

Exactly.

reply

They work a lot more than you think.

Cobra Kai rocked!

reply

Yes it does.

reply

For some reason I started wishing for a revival recently. But I doubt it could work or would ever happen, especially now with Christina Applegate's terrible diagnosis. I can't see having the motivation to be "funny" on a show when the future looks so bleak.

Also, Amanda Bearse has serious issues with Ed O'Neill, too, from what I understand.

reply

Bearse and O'Neill have clashed, but they don't really hate each other, in fact, they have mutual respect for the other's craft.

While not friends, I think for enough money they'd both do it.

reply

There are clips of them badmouthing each other, so, no...

reply

There are clips of them praising each other, so yes..

reply

Not really, they seem to tolerate each other and the most recent clip I saw O'Neill in he said everyone got along except Bearse. I doubt their dislike for each other would stop them from doing another show. They didn't like each other for a bunch of the later seasons and still managed to collaborate.

reply

No there aren't, troll. There's a press conference where Bearse is trying to be complimentary but throws some shade at him. There's a long clip where he's less restrained and even proudly admitting that the reason why she didn't invite him to her wedding was that he'd laugh at her and her fiance as they were walking down the aisle.

reply

Actually, I'm the troll. I agree that Bearse and O'Neill would probably get along well enough to do a reunion. I just like to troll when I'm not jacking off to Richard Simmons. Speaking of which...

reply

I am down, great idea. we need someone to pitch this to Al and Peg.

reply

That kind of jokes will never work in this woke culture, will get canceled after the first 5 seconds of the trailer ...

Imagine this today??

reply

Not if they ignore the irritating liberal squeaky wheels crying about it just to get attention.

The mass audience doesn’t want the sledgehammer woke crap being shoved down our throats.

But you can still appease them with this show by making Marcy a lesbian since Amanda Bearse is in real life.

Have her married to a hot younger diverse woman. Cast Sofía Vergara for that role.

Bud won the lottery and he lives with hot young Asian female twins who love flirting with other guys.

Just never, ever include stories about dealing with racism, sexism, or homophobia.

That’ll kill the show faster than anything else.

I think a better solution would be to have Amanda Bearse do double roles and reprise her gay cousin Mandy, who was a lesbian that (ironically and humorously) Al really liked.

Marcy was just *such* a man hound in so many episodes that having her switch sides would really be a hard sell, but if Bearse played Marci and Mandy, they could get the Alphabet aspect in and keep Marcy as a man hungry cougar with Mandy being a constant irritation to her.

reply

If the show as made today, the liberals would neuter this show to nothing! I was watching a few episodes of the original series, and I notice the more I laugh, the less the jokes would get through the censors.

reply

I kinda agree with you. However, it would be funny seeing Bud and Kelly as parents.

reply

Only if you let them.

Start pushing back.

Ignore then and let the audience decide.
