Why isn't this considered a Bond film?

Haven't seen it yet ( watching all James Bond movies in order INCLUDING THIS ONE) but Connery is in it as Bond. So why is this not considered an official bond film? Please don't spoil the plot

Beats me. This is my favorite Bond film and I'm not alone either. By the way, I won't post any spoilers. Unless a movie is over 70 years old, spoilers should not be permitted

I'm pretty sure you are alone on that one. Sure this movie doesn't have any plot holes?

reply

It can't have any plot holes since its a remake of Thunderball

It's interesting how this came out at the same time as "Octopussy" with Roger Moore's BOND..
