Any more Basket Case fans out there?
i cant seem to find that many basket case fans out there, im a huge one havnt seen the 2nd or the 3rd yet. but very good in a toxic avenger sorta way....

Seen all 3, 15-20 yrs ago mind you, and trust me on this one, if there one thing I know it's vintage "B"-grade cinema esp. horror, and once 82' Basketcase gained it's cult film status, the financial backers for 2 & 3 must've come in droves, because as good as the original is, the effects, which suited the original just fine for my tastes, was obviously no Rick Baker or Tom Savini at work. In the sequels, the more appropriate budgets are definitely there to make the Basketcase Trilogy what it deserved to be, which was absolutely imagination's the limit, FX extravaganza. Bilal even finds that he is not only not alone, but actually has a pretty extended family "of sorts". Oh, and F.Y.I., from what I remember when The Basketcase Trilogy was in high horrror demand in all your local Mom & Pop Video VHS/Beta Rental stores, you generally had to reserve them if you wanted to see them all in one evening. So obviously, you're not the only one to find this film ( and series ) entertainingly twisted! I will admit though, I only could find them at the less "mainstream" video outlets. Same as the Toxic/Tromaville films, the Puppetmaster Films, and other horror/action greats such as Shogun Assassin or '79's zombie masterpiece from Italy, Zombie! ( We will Eat You..), also called Zombie Flesheaters, or Zombi 2. If you have the version directed by Lucio Fulci, you know you have the right one. I just re-watched it myself last night for the first re-viewing in about 25 years, maybe longer? Still excellently campy, gory, and totally splattered. No don't let the dates give you the wrong idea, I'm not ancient; I'm actually just a mid-thirtysomething who's parents didn't pay much attention to what their son liked to pick from the shelves at our local videostores. Well, at least until I brought one horror flick home, with a buddy of mine from school to watch it over the weekend called Humongous. At the age of 8-9, that one will get you ( and the store that rented it to the 8-9 yr old ),in serious "hot water". My "June Cleaver-type Mom" WENT F@%KING NUCLEAR!! Check out the review on the IDMB. That one's a NC-17 easy, probably even after being mildly censored. I never said it was good, just offensive.
