Best theme song.
Was it just me or did anyone else think this show had one of the best theme songs ever?

shareActually I used to sing this song all the time. I found it a real drag that after the DVD collection came out, that the theme song was nominated as one of the worst songs recorded. I about flipped, almost everyone I knew back then was singing the song and listening to it on the radio, and if I remember right it did make the billboard chart for that year.
shareHell no, its not just you! I love this song to death! I downloaded it on LimeWire and I listen to it almost everyday. It is one of my favorite songs. I wish the singer, Joey Scarbury had not vanished into thin air. He had a nice voice and some real talent! He should have continued to record songs. He could have made a real career out of it.
sharehey everyone,-djfelix particularly-i completely relate.im twelve weeks from turning thirty years old-shiiiiit-and i hum it all the *beep* time too. When it played for the mnontage in The 40 Year Old Virgin I almost cried int he damned theater.BEST THEME EVER,nuff said¡

Top song. Has defied the ageing process. Impossible not to recall. So breezy, so reminiscent of my childhood. Not at all cheesy. Rock on, Joey S, wherever you are. I'm off to see if I can download it somewhere.
shareyeah it almost impossible to find good sites to download songs now without putting down some bread

Definitely one of the best theme songs ever.. I just got the sheet music for it. "Hill Street Blues" is also excellent. Looking through my music some more, I have to say that "Golden Girls", "Cheers" and "Moonlighting" are also up there. I'm kind of partial to "The Love Boat" theme as well--but that could be just me.lol. I wish I were old enough to remember some of the older shows. They had such great music!! Nowadays, they aren't as good, but then again I don't watch that much t.v.

I too still like this song. I remember the show and always thought it was a great show. I agree that it is the greatest tv theme song ever. But for me a close second would be the theme from "Flipper"...... yes.... I'm really that old... lol.. Another theme I think is near the top... but from a movie is "The Neverending Story"...........
shareThe best song ever. And the first and second season are about to come out on DVD! I was 5 years old when I started watching this show. It was the first show I ever got sad about being canceled, I was 7 then. But it was not the last. I still miss that show about the kung fu kid and macgyver and quantum leap. Oh well. I stopped watching TV shows in 1991. Maybe this is why. =)
shareIt is an awesome theme song. When I first saw "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and they played the first verse of that song, it brought back memories of when I was in high school and of course, the show. I hadn't seen the show, since I had yet to get the DVD at the time and I hadn't heard the song for years. It was awesome hearing it again.
I remembered the lyrics of the song and I found myself singing along and even singing the 2nd verse and they didn't even play that. It's one of my favorite scenes in the movie and when I see that scene, I will still sing along to it.
